8 out of 10 Skulls

Oh now here is a movie I can really get into. I love David Finchers movies he is a great director, he did Fight Club, and he doesn't shy away from greatness here on this movie either. He does a great job creating a dark and somewhat creepy anonymous feeling to the movie that if you see it on a rainy day you will not feel happy. This movie was great and the acting by Morgan Freeman and Brad Pitt is amazing as always.

This movie is about a 5 year detective, Brad Pitt, who has just arrived at a new station and right away he is but onto a scene where a fat man was tortured to eat until he literally burst from the inside, he has been tied to a chair with barbed wire and lays face down in food. Brad Pitt shows up with Morgan Freeman who believes that someone who takes the time to do this will be doing more, and he was right. He feels that Brad Pitt shouldn't be put onto a case like this for being new and Pitt disagrees very much, inevitably they become friends and are trying to take down this person together. After the fat man is killed another is killed and they find out that this person is killing people one day at a time for each of the Seven deadly sins, which he writes at the scenes of the crimes.

This is all I'm going to tell without giving too much away but this movie is a thinker and very smart and original. When this movie was released it was considered shocking and hard to watch, but it is tame by todays standards. This really isn't a full out horror or anything like that it is more of a suspense thriller or psychological thriller because it makes you think. This movie is great for everyone, if you can pay attention to it and understand what is going on, I made the mistake of not paying attention the first time I saw it. I give this movie an 8/10!!!
