Brutal Massacre: A Comedy Review

Well....This is another one of those mockumentary movies, but this one isn't as well done. Sure it has some great appearances from horror legends like Ken Foree and Gunnar Hansen but that doesn't make up for a somewhat boring movie. Now don't get me wrong or anything, I liked the movie for what it was and thought it was real funny at times, it just wasn't anything to get up and happy about. The movie just doesn't have that rewatchability to it that I was looking for in it. You watch it the first time funny and then the 2nd pretty boring and somewhat funny, 3rd just meh.....I'm not saying watch it back to back 3 times I'm saying over time it just gets duller.

This would be a good rental if you were able to rent it and not pay the 16.99 or so taht I paid for it just to find out I could get it for 7.99 at another store lol.....

The movie is about Harry Pandlecki, Panderleki, Pandabearlicker, IDK his last name its just something weird, but Harry is an B-movie horror director whose carry has been going to the toilets recently and he gets an idea for a horror movie for his big return called Brutal Massacre. So he gathers up his crew, which has Brian O'Halloran from Clerks which is one of my all time fav comedies and that made me glad to see him, and they go out to make this movie. On the way to completeing his film they run into all sorts of problems on set from girls not wanting to show boobs to technical things like someone dying from a knife on set........And other problems too.

This movie is not only about making a movie, which I like to see in movies since I want to make movies XD, but it also shows a sad side to aged directors. Like when Harry sees one of his movies that he worked so hard on in a dollar bin at a video rental store it gives a sense of what these directors feel when they see that. Its sad because its true and this happens to people in real life.

But anyways this movie wasn't all taht bad but its nothing to get happy about, since it doesn't have that rewatchability to it that I was looking for. But it is worth a look, and if you can find it cheap check it out. 6/10!!!!
