Cabin Fever Review
Written by: Googopqp
Cabin Fever is director Eli Roth's first movie and you all know him for doing Hostel and being a douche lol. A lot of people hate Eli. I don't hate him I just don't like how he is so up tight about him self with that ego of his. I like his movies, except for Hostel 2, I just don't like his attitude.
Anyways Cabin Fever owes alot to Evil Dead and it definitely pays respect to it. This movie is about a flesh eating disease that infects people and kills them over time after much pain and suffering I guess lol. And Rider Strong, not the name of the character, and his friends go up to a cabin and they are confronted by this very sick person who coughs up blood all over their car. This man is infected with something but you don't know, but the kids, I call them kids but they are like 20's, accidently light this man on fire and his body ends up in the resevoir by the cabin. This causes all the water and stuff used in the cabin to become infected and Rider Strong and his group begin to get infected and they isolate eachother and things go downhill.
I'm not going to give away too much but that is a general idea of what happens. This movie is original and fun. Its a good ride and a good horror movie, better than most of the shit that comes out now adays. This movie also has those moments where it's like wow, this is stupid like the kid yelling, "PANCAKES!!!!!!". That was just retarded and dumb and Eli Roth no matter what he says knows he took that karate part from Pieces lol, I KNOW HE DID!!!! Anyways the movie is good and all but dumb at parts and gory at scenes too, like the leg shaving scene :P
This is not the best but it is by no means a bad movie, it beats most of the shitty movies that come out, and I'm glad Eli didn't just go to remakes after this and Hostel, even though it is said he is going remake The Funhouse, which sucks to hear, I still have faith in him to bring us some gore, even if his attitude is ignorant like. Check this movie out, you will either like or say this sucked ass, but either way you can say you saw it. I liked it, I'm glad I saw it. 7/10!!!!
