28 Weeks Later Review

Ohhhhh I feel this movie was fucking awesome. The gore was great and the scene with the helicopter brings me back to Dead Alive with the lawn mower and thats awesome. This movie, although not as good as the first one, still a very fun and enjoyable goretastic experience.
This one takes place weeks after the first one when all the infected, for what they know, has all died from starvation and they are re-opening the cities and stuff and people are going back to live their normal-ish lives. But then a women carrying the virus but not infected shows up and it turns out she has an immunity to the virus. But her husband, who is a mix between Viggo Mortensen and Hugh Jackman (I call him Viggo Jackman because I don't know his actual name), anyways its her husband and he kisses her and becomes infected and then spreads the virus all over and the infection spreads again and every one starts to die. But the man's children are among those survivors running from the city and since their mother carried an immunity to the infection they may be the cure to infection so they must be kept alive. They are lead by a scientist and a military dude, who is kewl, and they are beind lead out of the city before it gets blown up by the military.
That is the basic idea of the movie, like I said not as good as the first but still a damn good and fun movie. This movie is really bad ass and gets away with some brutal stuff to be shown in theaters. They have people's eyes being gouged out with the fingers sliding in and staying there with anger on the person's face and then beating the body, they have the helicopter scene which is one of my favorite scenes in horror movies, and they have that awsome headshot where the brains and everything splatter onto the window and it kicks ass.
This movie really kicks ass and is gory as hell, and it was put in theaters. This was a great sequel to 28 days later but it is SO much different you really don't have to see the first one, but I really recommend you do. Most definitely check this movie out when you get the chance you will not regret it if you like gore films or virus type films.
The opening scene of this movie, I just have to say, is one of the greatest opening scenes I have seen in theaters. (In my opinion) And I feel that with all those kills and blood they can't top that and make the movie better, but it never lets up on its violence and the blood only keeps on coming more and more then the helicopter and you can't beat the helicopter scene. And they don't but since it happens more toward the middle-end they don't have to beat it.
I recommend this movie most definitely, especially if you love gore and want some bad ass scenes to watch. 8/10!!!!
