Creepshow Review

7 out of 10 Skulls

George A. Romero directing, Tom Savini doing the effects, Stephen King acting and writing, is there any more I must say to get you to watch this movie? No! There shouldn't be!

Creepshow is in a way exactly what it sounds like. Its a show, or movie, full of creeps and ghouls and monsters and its fun and spooky. This movie is a episode movie, where within the movie there are about 4 or 5 shorts mixed into it with some dialogue inbetween them introducing the movie. Creepshow is based off old comics books and it definitely has that comic feeling to it, with the cartoon kid story between each shorts, and there are transitions within the movie that use comic pages to show whats going on. So this feels like a live action comic book basically. I can't remember each of the shorts used in this but one stars Leslie Nielsen, who we all know as the funny man with permanent white hair, and there are others that are about a neat freak, a zombie, a psycho at a beach burying someone in sand, a monster story, and a hillbilly finding a meteor lol. Stephen King stars in the one with the meteor and he is kind of funny in it.

This movie was a lot of fun but by no means scary, at all. I don't get scared from movies anyways, im desensitized, but if I did this one is just too cartoony and out dated to scare people, unless u r like 6 or 7. Tom Savini's effects are good as always but these aren't his best and George Romero is always making good movies, for the most part (Looking at Bruiser).

I'm always a fan of these short episode movies, or whatever they are called, and I would recommend this movie to just about anyone who likes fun horror. This movie is classic and great. 7/10!!!!
