This movie is almost perfect in every way. It is hilarious from start to finish, it has some awesome gore, it has good acting, it has english people going to a pub, and it is a damn good movie just in general. This movie is arguably the greatest zombie comedy of the decade and I have seen this movie literally 15+ times. This movie has great re-watchability to it and I notice things in it that I didn't notice the first couple watches, even to this day. I.E. The Day of the Dead walk yawning thing in the beginning is, well as I just said, I tribute to the opening scene of Day of the Dead.

Shaun of the Dead is well about Shaun and his spiralling relationship with his girlfriend, Liz, and his relationships with the people around him. You have his step dad who tries to be hard on him and just wanted to be someone who was there for him, his best friend Ed who will stick by him no matter what and bring him to the pub ALOT, and him roommate who is just a prick :P. While he goes day by day in what is turning into a post apocalyptic zombie outbreak he is dumped by his girlfriend. So in that turn Ed brings him to the pub to cheer up lol. But when they get back from being drunk and piss off their roommate the next morning turns to hell, literally, with screaming and bodies and zombies all over, but of course Shaun doesn't notice until a girl is in the garden. When Shaun and Ed find out about the zombie invasion they come up with a plan to save Liz and Shaun's mom and try to wait for the whole thing to blow over, but will it be that easy?

That was a pretty broad and somewhat weird over view of the movie, I may havemade it a bit too complex lol. Basically the movie is about Shaun trying to get back with his girlfriend during a zombie invasion while they are on their way to shelter.

Along the way there is ALOT of funny things that happen, from dialogue all the way to how Shaun and Ed first fight off the zombies, which is one of my favorite scenes of the movie. This movie also as I said before has a great re-watchability to it that keeps it entertaining for many views. This movie was just a great movie and almost everyone will enjoy this movie, even people who aren't fans of horror will enjoy this movie for its love story and the fans of horror will enjoy the gore and the throwbacks to zombie classics, like when Ed tells Shaun's mom Barbara, "We're coming to get you Barbara" at first I didn't notice this but it was hilarious when I did.

This movie is great for everyone and everyone should see this movie. It is great loads of funny and the laughs are great  and the gore is pretty good to. Director Edgar Wright also went on ot direct Hot Fuzz and he should be proud of this movie, I have no doubt that Shaun of the Dead will probably be considered a classic of our time. 9/10!!!!
