Dying Breed Review

I mostly love the After Dark Horror fest. So when this year's came out I was super excited. But thus far in seeing most of them I haven't found anything worth watching. All of the films have been....less to die for. I pray next years are better. If there is a next years 8 Films TO Die For.

This past weekend I watched Dying Breed. And sadly its just like the rest of this years movies. Although better than Autopsy and The Broken It still left a lot to be desired .  I found it boring. Not really scary. Nothing to Die for. Is mainly about these four Americans who go to the Tasmanian forest in search of a rare tiger that may or may not be extinct. They run into a town of inbred cannibals and a murderer named "The Pieman".  The main girl in this film is trying to figure out what happened to her sister who died 8 years previous and the last place she had been was this town.  Well they have some fun get cought in the woods and one by one in normal Horror movie fashion get slaughtered. Well pretty much.

Mostly they all die of their own fault because they all do stupid things to get themselves killed  like "Oh here's a creepy guy we have never met lets follow him into the woods to find a missing girl he more than likely knows what happened"  And the characters are typical scary movie characters. The Troubled main character who is trying to put things to rest in her past. The typical loser friend who is being stupid and making jokes the whole time. The typical girlfriend who is only there to get naked and die first. Because every one knows if you get naked in a horror movie you will be the first to die. Doesn't anyone watch Scream anymore. Also the typical boyfriend who  is just sort of there to be like "No we shouldn't do that or yes we should.  Can't we try switching it up a bit? Also it had the typical lets leave  the girls with nothing to defend themselves while we look for a tiger, in the woods, at night,while creepy inbred townies running around.

If you have seen one inbred cannibal movie you have seen them all. it was just like Wrong Turn and Hills have eyes with out the benefit of the great main character who takes out the killer cannibals and makes it out alive.

The plot didn't seem to follow the lines very much there were parts that left me like "Ok where does this person fit in and why do they matter." but they keep showing up.  And they kept trying to throw "twist" after "twist" in there that   didn't really need to be there.

This movie to me needs to be a "Dying Breed" if they are all going to be the same. Try making am ore creative Cannibal movie. I for one would be most gratious. This movie is nothing great nothing worth the time sepnt watching it and nothing worth the money you spend to watch it. I personaly didnt like it. it was mediocre. A "typical" Cannibal movie. You may or maynot like it thats up to you. If you do good for you. If you don't you may agree with me. so thats Dying Breed.
