White Noise pulled a "The Village" for me. Good movie. Good plot. Decent acting... and then you actually get it. You get to the end and it leaves you feeling like... well, unsatisfied.

White Noise is the story of a family torn apart when the mother/wife dies. It's shocking and sudden and the father and son move away, unable to deal with the pain of loss. Well, the father ends up being confronted by a gentleman who claims he's been talking with his wife.

Needless to say, the father becomes obsessed with contacting his wife. Soon, strange things begin to happen. The father hears things that have yet to happen and ends up saving lives with the information he recieves beyond the grave. Turns out the information isn't comming from the nicest spirits. Turns out that the spirits are actually the exact opposite of the nicest spirits.

This movie had so much potential to be a great movie. It had the set up. It had the decent plot. It more than likely had the budget. But in the end, the spirits ended up being dissapointing at best for CGI technology standards nowadays, and the ending was just... well, it was crap.

Very dissapointing, especially because the trailer was absolutely terrifying to me. I do not like the idea of EVP. I do not like the idea of spirits trying to contact me through radio, television or computers.... but considering how dissapointing the spirits were in this movie... Well, let's just say it sucked ass.
