My Name is Bruce Review

Bruce Campbell in my eyes and many other horror fans eyes is a huge cult hit guy. He starred in many classics like Evil Dead, Evil Dead 2, and...uh....Army of Darkness (aka Evil Dead 3) and we can all remember him from such commercials as the ones he did for Old Spice. But here he is directing and acting My Name is Bruce, a movie all about HIM.

My Name is Bruce is less of an ego trip gone wrong and more of Bruce Campbell showing himself as a complete loser who treats his fans poorly and works badly with others. He gives this idea that he lives in a trailer and can't get work. so really this is an anti fan movie where he is trying to dissapoint fans perspectives of him lol. One day a super nerd, I mean, fan kid naps Bruce because he needs his help destroying an old ancient demon who is the protector of Bean Curd. But thing is Bruce Campbell thinks this is all a birthday present from his agent, played by Ted Raimi, and he takes this whole thing as a joke and a little game. But when things turn out to be real Bruce either has to rise up to the hero he was there to be, or run away like a little pussy back to his little trailer....

Apart from Bruce giving this idea of himself being a loser there are also some very funny moments in this movie. Some of which you won't even catch teh first time when watching. One thing I can tell you is Bruce Campbell good timing with his jokes, he knows when to deliver and when its too soon or too late for a good joke to work.

The movie isn't very gory but there are some really kewl head splitting scenes in it. THis movie also has some throwbacks and lines from the Evil Dead, and they have a chainsaw and Bruce goes into this monologue about chainsaws that ends pretty funny. This movie was great, and LOADS OF FUCKING FUN!!!

You need to watch this movie if your a fan of Bruce Campbell or if you like a good laugh in your life. I give My Name is Bruce a solid 7/10!!!!
