Venom Review

hmmm Im not sure where everyone keeps coming up with this Mr Jangles name. They must have seen a different film than me or theyre just copying from some other web sites because that name is never mentioned in the film or trailers etc.. The bad guys name is Ray Sawyer and he doesnt collect keys either, though he does have a big key ring. He DOES however collect bodies, lots of them and kills them in many different and quite gruesome ways.

I thought the plot was pretty straight forward slasher/scary movie type stuff and some of the acting was pretty lame, but overall it wasnt any worse than most of the other horror flicks out there.  It looked awesome and the sets and special effects were pretty good I thought with the exception of the "Jarring" effect for lack of a better description in some of the shots, could've done without that. Ray's makeup was pretty  gnarly especially after he got set on fire. that was cool too as was the shot of him before he became a monster/killing machine when the car went under with him inside.

There were also a couple of times where everone in the screening jumped and screamed, so that was cool. As for the ending, hey isnt everyone trying for a sequel? I know I'd like to see ray back again with a little better plot. Overall I liked it and was entertained by the basically mindless killings/blood maiming and gore. aint that what horror movies are supposed to be about?
