Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors Review
Written by: Googopqp
Dream Warriors brings Freddy Kruger back to his prime, killing teens as they sleep. No more of this finding a host crap and this movie gets great. I thoroughly enjoyed this sequel and thought it was a great third movie.
Dream Warriors about a group of teens in a mental hospital for suicidal teens, but none of them are really suicidal. Freddy harms the kids in their sleep and they are the lucky ones that survive, but since they have wounds they end up in that hospital. There the kids try and battle Freddy using their special powers they have when they are sleeping, Nancy returns in this movie, older, and she tries to help the kids as well. Will the teens succeed in stopping Freddy and getting their friend who is being held captive back alive? Or will it all end in failure?
The reason I feel this is a great sequel is because of the kills in the movie, and when I was really looking forward to seeing the Freddy sequels this is basically everything I was hoping for in a sequel. Imaginative deaths and Freddy changing into things and this is the stuff nightmares are made of. Its great and its also pretty fun too.
The acting sucks for the most part, but John Saxon makes a return so kewl there, but there is this thing where Freddy's bones return and kill some people and I didn't like taht, that was dumb, why wouldn't he do that always and kill people that way? It seems to work lol...but forget that and the other flaws in the movie, its still great.
This movie still doesn't compare to the original in any way and never will but I still feel its a great installment into the series. I would definitely recommend this movie to fans of the first movie, this is a great sequel with imaginitive kills, except some lame ones, and its great. I give Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors a 7/10!!!!
