Hills Have Eyes (remake) Review

This is the only time I've said this about a modern day remake in my life, but I prefer the remake over the original. The original didn't do much for me, and yes this is for the most part a shot by shot remake but this movie adds in like an entire 15 minutes of one of the people from the trailer going off to find the baby of his. The 15 minutes were amazing and great. Alexander Aja is a great director and he did a great job on this remake. The gore is top notch and the CGI is only noticable at some parts, like the explosion...:/. But the scene when the freaks break into the trailer in tihs movie is very suspensefull and done very well.
The Hills Have Eyes is about an all american family, and one of the daughters husbands, going onto a trip to California, I believe, but on the way their trailer is spiked in the tires and they can't go anywhere. So the dad and the husband of the daughter go off in separate directions looking for help, the dad is attacked and the husband of the daughter comes back with bad news. Later the dad is hung up and lite on fire so the family goes running to help but mean while the mom and one both daughters are being held in the trailer by some of the freaks. The freaks kill the mom and the daughter with the husband, pretty brutally. Now the husband of the dead daughter leaves the son and the other daughter alone to go find his baby, and he becomes a major bad ass, who looks like a nerd lol. But will he find the baby and will the two left at the trailer be okay?
I didn't mention the dogs? oh man..Beauty and Beast are the two dogs and one of them are killed and the other kicks some disfigured people ass lol. Literally this dog flat out murders these people and its awesome, not only that but the suspense this movie brings is great and the gore in this movie is very well done and realistic. The acting is actually pretty good too, for the most part lol.
This was a great very well done remake and didn't just follow the original for everything, but most of it it did, and thats another reason why it did work, it did the same things but added in some great shit that makes the movie better. Plus this movie isn't as boring as the original and I feel its better.
Overall I love this remake and Alexander Aja as a director, I trust him and look forward to his movies, he also directed High Tension but he also directed that shitty Mirrors movie (also a remake) but I didn't care for Mirrors so much...But I give Hills Have Eyes remake a strong 8/10!!!!
