Rob Zombie's directoral debut comes with this movie, House of 1000 Corpses, and it could have been a better choice for him. Not only does this explain what an original horror movie looks like but it also shows us what kind of director Rob Zombie is, he is one that isn't afraid to push the line or see what he can get away with, he is an old style director and makes a movie feels like a 70's exploitation flick, which is great.

House of 1000 Corpses is about a group of friends who end up at the wrong house on night and are held captive by a sadistic family of lunatics. You have Mother Firefly, the seductive mother, Otis the son, Baby the daughter (played by Rob Zombies hot wife) and many others, including Grandpa :D. But these kids end up looking for a legend of some Dr. Satan that they learned about by some pissed off Clown named Captain Spaulding, they end up finding Dr. Satan but at what costs? Death...But will they find a way to survive...or die?

I really liked this movie but didn't feel it was as good as Devil's Rejects, the sequel, this movie was more of an introduction to the family and who they are where as that one was them on the road...but anyways, this movie is pretty gory at parts but nothing over the top, for the time when it came out it was pretty pushing the limit type stuff and I'm surprised the MPAA didn't cut the shit out of this movie. But thats a good thing that they didn't because then it would have been less cringe worthy for some...some....

The family is pretty much devil worshippers and that shows near the end. Speaking of the end I love the stuff that happens near the end of this movie, and I also love the ending to this movie, such a downer and I love that. Its a great end of the movie and the bunny chasing thing is just, well...disturbing in a way but awesome...wow I'm a psycho :/

Overall House of 1000 Corpses is a great little exploitation flick for the 2000's and shows some pretty horrific images of dead bodies and shit like that, but its a great movie. Watch it, its a great little movie, but most definitely watch its sequel, the sequel is better and more disturbing, but House of 1000 Corpses is still good. I give it a 7/10!!!!
