Slither Review

8 out of 10 Skulls

Slither I would say falls under the genre of zombie movie and creature movie, it falls into both of these becaues Slither is about a blob that falls to earth one day and a man named Grant, I believe, (played by Michael Rooker) gets stabbed with some needle it shoots out. This needle causes Grant to change, very drastically, and he turns into this snake like mutant thing and he produces these slugs that cause people to have all the same thoughts and feelings and emotions and memories as Grant and this alien have had. Everyone in the town affected by the slugs change and turn into mindless walking killing machines. Its up to Grant's wife and a small group of others to kill the beast that is now Grant, before its too late and earth is lost forever basically :D.

Slither was amazing fun and really gory too. James Gunn directed this and he got his start with Troma movies so when I realized who he was I was like, "KEWL! TROMA! :D" and then I also realized Lloyd Kaufman has a cameo in this movie and it just made the movie all that much better, even though he says nothing.

Slither was one of the most fun movies I've seen in a while and its just great and you need to see it. It is very similar to Night of the Creeps though and there may be coincidences to it but James Gunn says he has never seen Night of the Creeps but oh well, forget all that and just enjoy this movie. There is really really fat lady who was once pretty hot and she bursts open and all these slugs fall out and its one of the funniest and greatest scenes in the movie. I will never forget the line she says when the police walk in, "There's something wrong with me..." WELL NO SHIT!!!!

You need to see this movie, its fucking great. No joke, this movie is really really fun and awesome, but I just didn't care for the slow start. But for the Troma fans out there see if you can spot the Toxic Avenger in the movie along with Lloyd Kaufman as the sad drunk :D. I give Slither a deserving 8/10!!!!
