Stephen King's 1408 was a disturbingly good film. If you have not cought on to this yet 1+4+0=8 =13 the unlucky number. he film follows Mike Enslin (John Cusack), an author who specializes in the horror genre. In the ever search for something spooky to write he eventually learns of the Dolphin Hotel in New York City, which houses the infamous "Room 1408".

Interested yet skeptical, he decides to spend one night in the hotel although manager Olin (Samuel Jackson) warns him strongly against it. Enslin encounters a series of bizarre experiences in the room including reliving the death of his daughter along with other frightful encounters with the rooms former ghosts.

The evil behind the hauntings is determined to never allow him to leave and torments him and trys to seduce him into suicide. This is one of Kings better films. John Cusack plays the role well. This movie will surely get under your skin.
