The Signal Review

I liked this movie because well it was different and after being a horror fan for well over 30yrs ,i like different.Ok heres the story on new years eve a strange transmission blocks all frequencies ,phones ,tvs everything.People who watch it for a short or prolonged period well go crazy,the period between watching it and going crazy is up to the individual,which in a strange way makes sense since mentally there not all the same.The movie revolves around a love triangle between a wife her husband and her lover ,with a few extra characters thrown in along the way.

i hate giving away all the movie details so i wont but what i will say is for a fairly low budget film the sets are well believable the acting is good(one of those films where you know youve seen these actors before but you cant remember where).The gore/violence is quite graphic though at times unbelievable(how can you get hit 10 times in the head with a metal cannister and still get up and fight).Its also quite funny at times as the signal isnt always in your head so there are a few  wtf moments where the characters come out of it to behold what they have done.

One scene where there on the lounge surrounded by blood and bodies trying to have a normal conversation comes to mind.The Signal crosses a few genres here-zombie ,slasher,end of the world ,and that also adds to its originality.It does jump to and fro a bit but not to much that you cant make it out.I only gave it 7 stars cause well the ending didnt really do it for me.Overall well worth a watch.
