The unborn ****Jubly wants to be born now****
Lately it seems too many horror movies start the same way. A pretty girl going for a walk in the middle of nowhere and then ends up in the woods. Why is that. The beggening of the unborn was no different. But of course like another movie I’ve reviewed lately, it was only a dream, a strange dream none the less. Yet still a over used cliche. The second cliche happended not even 5 minutes later. A babysiter of course. Haven’t we seen enough movies with babysitters? But of course a pretty girl also helps so let’s not get this get us down shall we?
So it’s the story of Casey a young woman who starts to have strange dreams, see strange things that seems to be following her. A little boy is often around her and then turns into a dog. She hears things coming out of her miror cabinet. Like knocking. When she opens the mirror the little boy comes out trying to reach out to her. There is also a freaking things going on with her eye. The eye specialist tells her that those thingsare often a results of twins blood share while still in the wound. Unfortunately Casey’s umbilical cord got caught around her brother’s neck and he died. From then on Casey needs to know more about her mother and her brother.
She meet with an old woman who’s name had been kept in her mother’s things. The old woman knows Casey had a twin but that’s all the information casey has been able to get out of her before she throws her out. Casey’s dream then become more and more intense. Eventually Sofi the old lady calls her back to warn her. She also was a twin and had to kill her brother in order to kill the evil from entering into our world. And this evil has found a way in again...Casey. and she needs to have an exorcism performed in order to safe herself.
The preperation of the exorcism was rather interresting to watch as it gave a lot of back ground information as to why they are doing this a certain way. And the scene of the exorcism itself it magnificent to look at.
As for the ending I must say that I actually liked it but I hope they won’t use this to make a sequel out of it,
The main actress was rather great. Her fear seemed real and she played her part well. I didn’t knew her before and was glad to see a new face. She is not the best actress they could have picked but she was real great none the less.
The old lady was amazign. She looked the part of the woman who has been throw hell in her life. she looked like a sage woman, her voice was also calming.
The good friend of Casey played by Megan Good, was lovable i believe Megan Good is a strong actress who doesn’t get enough credit for her work.
I also need to give the movie a plus for having the main girl reading the bible...Cosmopolitan.
