Aliens Review

Taking place over fifty years after the original, Sigourney Weaver who is Ripley in the movie is the only survivor of that fatefull alien attack. She has been frozen and now she is awoken. No one believes her story of what happened until one day some people lose contact with the ship Ripley's on now. So they send her in with a squad of marines and an android, played by Lance Henriksen. When they get to the planet they can't find any survivors, except for this little girl, but there is definitely something with them. They keep getting something on their trackers but can't find it. Until, part of the squad is attacked by some large aliens and they are killed. Now the rest of the squad must fight for their survival as there is not just one of these things this time....no, this time there are hundreds. If one wasn't bad enough, you now have....HUNDREDS!
Aliens is less horror as the first one and in this one, its more of an action/sci-fi movies with those elements of horror. But the movie I feel is better than the first one, some people prefer the first and some the second, I'm one of the seconds. Anyways, This movie really packs a punch to your gut and it has really really enjoyable characters and is done so well, plus aliens basically explode in this movie and it looks awesome.
Directed by James Cameron this time around, he did Terminator!!!, you know you are in trust worthy hands, and also full of bad ass looking action of course. James Cameron is a brilliantly great director and should be respected. He does a great job with this sequel and I feel what could be my favorite sci-fi movie of all time. Although, my score justifies it isn't one of my favorites of all time, cause I'm not a big sci-fi person, but I still thoroughly loved this movie.
The acting is very good and I believe Sigourney Weaver got an nomination for it in the oscars. Most everyone does a very solid job, and Bill Paxton is awesome as always! The gore in this movie is basically like the first except this time its more on the Alien blood shed more than the people blood shed. Like you'll see more graphic alien deaths than graphic human deaths.
The background, or sets, look great in this movie as well, like the first. But there is more in this movie than the first. Its really hard to compare which movie looked better, so I'm not even going to try, same with comparing the two directors cause thats like comparing one brand of paper over another, its just like either one is as good as the other but has different features or styles.
Overall, This is a great sci-fi movie and if you liked the first movie you will love this one for sure. This movie is great from minute to end, and actually has a pretty long run time. Aliens is a MUST SEE!!!! I give Aliens a 9/10!!!!
