The Faculty Review

Invasion of the Body Snatchers meets a school in this fun sci-fi horror films directed by Robert Rodriguez. With a strong cast including Josh Hartnett, Elijah Wood, Famke Janssen, Salma Hayek, John Stewart, and hell...even Usher, the singer, this is sure to knock one out of the park. Or maybe, at least try to.
When some sort of creatures appear at a high school the teachers and some of the students begin to change. They appear to be braindead or just unresponsive, but to a group of students its an alien invasion. The teachers are who started to spread it but why is this all happening. Whenever someone goes alone with one of the infected they get turned into it, remind you of anything there? So they group up and try to find a way to save their town, or maybe the entire world!
I liked this movie, it wasn't very gory or nothing but it was fun and the characters were good. Even though they use some of those bad visual effects that were so popular in the 90's it is still a movie worth checking out that has lots of knocks to sci-fi classics. But for that reason, its not really original, its just taking the story from other movies and using it on its own, but I did like the ending and the twist, if you call it that. Because after you know the end then you can rewatch the movie and notice the signs. Its good that way.
Anyways, the acting is okay but John Stewart is always funny, and he actually has one of the best scenes in the movie (the eye scene). Since this is Robert Rodriguez you can expect some kewl scenes and a fun movie, but you really wouldn't guess he would do a movie like this, really, its hard to believe.
Overall, this is a good little sci-fi horror knock-off thats worth checking out for many reasons. Its got a good cast and is directed by someone trust worthy, and its got some kewl scenes. I will give The Faculty a 7/10!!!! for being so fun and enjoyable, check it out!
