Scream 2 Review

7 out of 10 Skulls

Scream 2 starts off just like the first movie, with a bloody killing of a couple. Except this time, its happening at a movie theatre to a college couple. Once these two are killed there is a big thing up at the college, and thats where Sydney is going to college, so of course her and some of the other survivors have a little run in and they start to wonder if its happening....again. They find out that there is a copy cat killer on the loose this time, but he's back on the campus wearing the ghost face mask, but will he be stopped before he can finish the job that Billy Loomis started....killing Sydney?

The few main survivors from the first movie return to this one, and actually they play some of the best characters. David Arquette playing Officer Dewey and Jamie Kennedy playing Randy are probably the two most enjoyable characters. Then there are some new characters like the new camera guy for Gale who was also from the first movie and the new guy is like, "I read your book and heard what happened to your old camera guy..."blah blah blah but its pretty funny at times.

Some other highlights would be some of the death scenes. They are kewl! lol, thats all I really got to say....they are kewl.

Now this movie kind of does what the first one does where its a who did it type movie. And once again, its done quite well. You keep guessing who the killer is but it seems in this movie they were trying to make you think ANYONE could do it, by making this person missing at this scene or this or that and its all really noticable and not really misleading. But its still done where you can't guess the killer!

This movie is not as good as the original but its a damn fine sequel. I would recommend checking it out, its not a bad homage to classics, and theres even a line where the camera guy has a Faces of Death reference! Overall, its a good slasheer sequel taht is just like the first, in ways. Check it out, its worth seeing, I give Scream 2 a 7/10!!!!
