The Last House On The Left (unrated) Review

8 out of 10 Skulls

The Last House On The Left sets a new level of horror in todays modern cinema. With all the CG FX in so many movies it is refreshing to see a truly creepy movie made with none of the big studio BS.

Sara Paxton as Mari Collingwood is everyones kid sister, girl next door, honor roll, prom queen type. This is the girl who should go to her high school class reunion 20 years later as a PHD/Olympic athlete except for that one summer years ago that changed everything.

You don't watch this movie, you survive it. The unrated version is better than the theatrical release, a little more brutal in parts, but overall it is better version. I think some of the deleted scenes should also be included. I was first in line Friday, March 13, 2009 for tickets to the matinee, and first in line for this DVD today. Well done. 'Wes Craven Rocks The Socks.'
