Terminator: Salvation (2009) Review
Written by: Gardenofstone10
Another GREAT addition to the Terminator fanchise. Which makes me wonder why people crap on this film. If you liked the first three, you'll love this one. If you didn't like the other ones, you won't like this.
The movie follows John Connor as the leader off the resistance. There is a lot of continuity with this film which also makes me happy. Like we have John Connor's dad, Kyle Reese in this film as a teenager following and looking up to John Connor. We have a digitally added in Arnold as one of the Terminator models. We have Linda Hamilton (actually doing new material) for the film.
This Terminator brought back something that I know was in some of the others but I can't put my finger on it.....jump scenes. There were at least 2 parts of this movie that made me jump. Lol, one was just seeing Christian Bale.
Which brings me to my next point...Christian Bale. He did an outstanding job in this movie and I will defend that to anyone...but one flaw, his voice. Many times he goes from sweet British guy faking an American accent (which he does well because American accents are actually the hardest) all the way to doing his Batman voice. There were times where I thought, "does he know that Bruce Wayne is NOT the leader of the resistance?".
THE TERMINATORS:
This movie had some Badass Terminators!!!! We had Transformers sized ones, snake like ones, the normal badass ones, and motorcycle terminators!!!!!! All of them are lethal and uses perfectly. We never get too much or too little of one certain one to keep things interesting.
All in all, this was a truly amazing movie that will stand tall with the other Terminators once more people see it. Please, go see it. I know it will be on DVD shortly so pick it up and don't be disappointed. Peace.
