The Descent Review

Today I visited two of some of my favorite horrors one in which is "The Descent". This movie came out in 2005 shortly after "The Cave". The movie is a lot like The cave in that it is about a caving expedition gone horrible wrong except it is considerable more realistic and seems more possible than the other.

The movie starts with a group of friends on a canoe tripthat follows with a tragic accident. A year later they reunite for a caving trip in the appalachian mountains. They get trapped in a cave where no one ever explored before where blood thirsty humanoids hut them down.

I really enjoyed the movie even though it seemed weird that it was an all girl trip. Caving is usually not on a girls night out agenda ... well anyways this movie proves a genuine scare and given i grew up in the appalachians I will probably avoid caves for the rest of my life
