This classic thriller, although a sequel, is one of the best horror/thriller/drama movies out there! Winner of Best Picture, this movie is sure to stir up not only your mind but your appreciation as well! Its a marvelous, dark, and powerfull movie and I love almost every second of it, its a great film and must be seen!

Silence of the Lambs follows a FBI trainee by the name of Clarice Starling, played by Jodie Foster, who is supposed to interview a sadistic mad man names Hannibal "The Cannibal" Lector, played perfectly by Anthony Hopkins. Clarice tries getting help from Hannibal to catch a serial killer by the name of Buffalo Bill, played by Ted Levine, who kidnaps women and murders them. Now trainee Clarice Starling is supposed to hunt down a serial killer who has recently abducted the senators daughter before its too late and she ends up dead, but will Clarice succeed, or will she herself become a victim to something greater?

I really really did like this movie A LOT. Although its a bit long and talkitive its very interesting well acted enough to make the time fly by with interest peeked at every corner. Shot with greatness and directing for the books, this thriller is sure to please not only horror fans but fans of film and cinema in general.

This movie isn't a gory or violent movie, and nor should it be, but there are a few scenes that are pretty gory and the overalll movie is pretty damn dark if you ask me! This movie is disturbing, creepy, and dark and its got basically no trace of humor what so ever, except for maybe some black humor from Hannibal ;)

And yes its true, this is a sequel to an 80's movie called Manhunter, which was later remade as Red Dragon. But I feel Silence of the Lambs is better on basically every level, the acting direction cinematography...everything. Even the guy who played Hannibal in Manhunter, who I'm pretty sure was Brain Cox, is not nearly as good as Anthony, but its hard to compare cause of the times and the now legendary performance of Anthony.

Overall, Silence of the Lambs is a MUST SEE for all fans of movies in general. Its dark, creepy, and very good, its a great movie and deserved the oscar for it! I give Silence of the Lambs a high and proud, deserving 9/10!!!!
