Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) Review

Invasion of the Body Snatchers 1978 is a remake of the 1956 movie of the same name. I think this movie is what made me hooked to horror to begin with as bell as becoming a Donald Sutherland fan.
Donald Sutherland plays a health inspecter( matthew) along with his friend Elizabeth find that some really odd things are happening around town. People are claiming their sposes are no longer their spouces and she notices that even her man is acting strange and emotionlerss. They find out that humans are being replaced by some sort of replicas or pod people that grow out of a plant like thing. The creatures take over your body as you sleep and your body slowly desolves away. The story is basically about their fight for survival and trying to escape the creatures and stay human.
This movie has to be one of the finest science fiction ( maybe horror) films of our time and maybe the only remake that i can think of that was actually better than the first origional 1956 version. Everything is perfect about this movie. I can not find one fault with it. Donald Sutherland, Leonard Nemroy, Jeff Goldblum all do a stellar job. it had great acting, wonderfiul script and it was realistic dispite the lack of CGI. I give it a 9 out of 10
