The Howling Review

Dee Wallace plays Karen White, a female reporter, who has a traumatic run in with a serial killer. She can't get it off her mind, so her psychologist recommends that she go to a place called "The Colony" and she agrees. But something just isn't right about this place. At night strange noises and howls arise from outside and Karen doesn't know what it is. But when she finds out that the entire retreat is full of werewolves, she must fight for her life to escape!
This movie co-stars a man named Dennis Dugan, who directed comedies like Happy Gilmore and the recent You Don't Mess With the Zohan, so I thought that was kind of funny to see someone like him in a horror film.
Anyways, this movie is directed by Joe Dante who did Gremlins. THis movie isn't as much fun as Gremlins, but I really liked this movie, its kind of gory and its actually an interesting and very good werewolf movie!
The story is interesting and keeps my interest the entire time, and thats always a good thing for a movie. But, the one thing with this movie is that its a pretty slow movie, and its pretty boring for alittle. Thats really my biggest thing about this movie is that it put me asleep at parts of the movie.
Overall, the Howling is a must see for ALL werewolf movie fans. Its got good effects and the gore is great at times. The story is good and everything is enjoyable, other than some boring stuff. But I give The Howling a 7/10!!!!
