6 out of 10 Skulls

I'm pressed for time so I'm going to keep this review brief. I will say that this is the most unique film I've seen in a while. The animation was really great and so was the voice acting. It's has a lot of dark undertones and what I consider a Harry Potter cop-out of an explanation (if you've seen the movie you might know what I'm referring to). Seeing a POV shot of a dead woman and her baby made me wonder what all the little kids were thinking who were there. (That's another thing, why do parents take their kids to see dark movies like this? The commercials TELL YOU that it's dark and PG13 doesn't that mean anything?) The action scenes were nice to look at but overall I really didn't understand what the point of the movie was.

I know that when I watched commercials for it I thought, "Hmm I wonder what this is about?" Well I've seen it and I'm still wondering what it's about. I can't say this movie is a bad one, cause that's not true. I will suggest that you don't see it in theaters and wait until it comes out on DVD. Why? Because it's short. I get that animated movies are short, but I was already confused out of my mind and on top of that it ends 80 something minutes into the film. I had paid nine or ten dollars to see this movie and I don't think it was really worth that money.

One thing I noticed is that it was like a video game. That's pretty much how I'll sum this review up: It's like an un-interactive video game that ends way too quick while leaving you baffled.
