Boy Eats Girl Review

9 out of 10 Skulls

It's not everyday that Ireland makes a film for an International audience and even more rarely an Zombie film!  Boy Eats Girl gives us an "Americanised" horror implanted on Irish soil. And the result is "feckin' hilerious!" Going in the same frequency of the english "Shawn Of The Dead", in this we get a completely teen version of zombietastic brilliance!

The lead cast played by Samantha Mumba (Jessica) and David Leon (Nathan), we are introduced to a somewhat "American" suburban atmosphere. Nathan's mother (who, is renovating a church) discovers a secret room in its basement holding ancient voodoo materials brought back by missionaries, she flips through a book noticing a "Reanimation" ritual, she is caught by a preiest and told to leave.

Nathan goes through a bad time trying to ask out Jessica (Samantha Mumba), on the night of his "proposal" he sees her with some other dude (Or at least he assumes). Letting himself go, he becomes suicidal, hanging himself. This is where the voodoo comes in to place, but of course only after using it on Nathan does his mother find out about its horrid consequences!

At this point, I won't spoil the film by telling you everything. But this horror-comedy WILL "spit" out a few great laughs.. "tractor scene" ;)
