Pandorum Review

I will keep my review short and sweet since Aidan did a good explaining the general gist of the film.

When I first got into the movie I thought I was going to be disappointed but I proved myself wrong.  Pandorum has to be one of the best science fiction horror movies I have seen to date. As  the movie progressed it reminded me of that cave movie The Descent, well basically it was exactly like The Descent but played out in outer space. The creatures had a very similar look to the creatures from The Descent and they fed in much the same way.  

The  story was also similar meaning a group of people trapped in the dark trying to escape while being hunted down and ripped apart by vile humanoid creatures.  Thats why i thought I was going to be disappointed. it seemed at that point to be all too typical and has been done before type of thing. But this movie has such a surprise ending that I never in a million years saw coming and it made the movie all so good and all so worth watching to where my whole outlook on the film totally changed from disappointment to WOW.

I do disagree with Aidan saying it is a monster movie for they are really not monsters but morphed humans. My opinion is that Pandorum is not a monster movie but it is a deep space disaster movie or better yet a tragedy . Yep thats right.!  And to know what I mean you kinda have to watch the twist ending. I will give one clue and that is the movie does end on a positive happy note.
