Trick R Treat (2008) Review
Written by: Gardenofstone10
This has been one of those "can't hardly wait" horror movies with how long it's been delayed. Finally it's coming out this Tuesday and I got to watch it before it was released and let me tell you that I was not disappointed.
We have an interweaving web of stories all taking place in some town in Ohio. People start to disappear, get murdered, start murdering, etc....it's a beautiful tale. One of the other reviewers for this movie compared it to Creepshow and I couldn't agree more. This is a new version of Creepshow, only better.
I am happy to say that I am going to make this one of my Halloween tradition movies because it all takes place on Halloween night. It's so perfect. Only reason I didn't give it a 10 out of 10 is that I want to start saving that rating for movies that are beyond amazing. This one is just REALLY amazing.
What was cool is that it wasn't trying to be anything. This movie doesn't step on anyone's toes, it's 82 minutes long so it's just like the ones from the 80s. Meaning that it doesn't drag on and on...it gets to the point and delivers.
The music is also good. It reminds me of something mixed from a Tim Burton film and Psycho.
If you watch anything new this Halloween, watch this one. I think you'll be very happy and satisfied with it. I know I'm going to buy it on Blu Ray the day it comes out! Peace.
