Alls I have to say is OUCH! Could the scene where she breaks his ankles have been anymore gross and disgusting? IT was great! Bates really and truly brings out the character like no one else could have.

The look on her face...that cold seething look masqued by a fake smile that everyone can see through and is supposed to. You just want to sneak into her creepy house with those creepy little ceramic figures and rescue the poor guy before she can do anything else. Misery...

I could almost think of a better title but "The poor guy that this crazy freak lady held captive and tormented that scared me shitless" probably wouldnt have attracted many viewers. Bates is an amazingly scary actor, its like theres something evil just below the surface begging to come out and she lets us see little peeks of it in the movies...and the peeks are enough to scare anyone.
