The Boogeyman 3 Review
Written by: MistressOf Horror
I thought the first Boogeyman was ok and didn't like the 2nd.. So its no surprise that the 3rd was even worse.. It ripped off Nightmare on Elm Street - dreams of blood and death.. And it fell flat in a lot of areas..
This movie begins with Audrey, the daughter of the psychiatrist from part 2, returning from his funeral. We see going thru her father's personal belongings. She finds his diary and he talks about The Boogeyman and that it may be real. After she's done reading about his take on The Boogeyman she decides to take a bath, and her dog is killed by something in her apartment. A black cloud rises from beneath her bed and drags her under.
Audrey then shows up at her friend Sarah's dorm room and tells her that the Boogeyman is after her--and that he's everywhere. There's no place to hide. Soon Audrey is found hanged and then The Boogeman is on his next killing spree…and Sarah apaprently is the next heroine…
But the movie did have a strange ending. The creature makes it look as though she's responsible for the death of her boyfriend. She admits to commiting the murder when the police arrive, so that the Boogeyman will not kill all the others in the building. Did she really do it and this was all a fantasy?
