PROM NIGHT (2008) Review

This is not a remake of the average 1980 film of the same name thank goodness, but is just an old fashioned stalk and slasher, which is admittedly cliched, in fact uses pretty much all of them, except one which i'll go back to later. The fact is though the film is well enough done, and i can't honestly see where film gets it's "worst film" reputation as it is far from that.While not a classic , it's certainly watchable and keeps your attention.Sure there are plot loopholes there, but which slasher film doesn't have those?. The "It's a dream" ploy is used at   the beginning instead of the end here, and in this case it's to illustrate what has gone on.A simple,straightforward ok entry in the genre. Oh by the way the one cliche it doesn't use,is the twist ending where the killer gets up again which is also a point in it's favour.I know a lot of forum members hate this film( hello BTK, hun,there you go you've been mentioned in one of my reviews!xx) but it's far from the worst of it's type.
