Vampire Diaries has really taken me by surprise. Before I watched the first episode I thought it was going to a bad Twilight rip off. But fortunately I was wrong. Instead it is a very well written show that is very entertaining. I have liked every episode so far, but episode five was kind of weak in my opinion. Only because I’m starting to get really annoyed at some of the characters.

Episode 5 You’re Undead to Me plot: Stefan reveals part of his past to Elena, who later hears a disturbing story about the Salvatore family from a stranger. Meanwhile, Bonnie seeks advice from her grandmother about psychic abilities she possesses.

I hate spoilers, but in order for me to tell you what I thought about Episode five I’m going to have to give some things away.

This show is starting to annoy me. Here’s why. First off, Stefan is wus. He had a chance to kill his evil brother Damon after he poisoned him, but instead he locks him in a room. Really? WTF. He could have easily torn him apart but for some reason he decides not to. So to no ones surprise Damon escapes and now we start all over again. The next thing that’s pissing me off is Elena’s character. How fucking stupid can a person be? She is finally starting to figure out Stefan is a vampire. She has had clue after clue. Lets see, she knows he heals VERY fast, she has seen his “scary” I want to drink your blood face, and strangers have told her that he hasn’t aged in over fifty years. And she’s just now starting to get suspicious. I’m guessing she isn’t going to have a career with the FBI any time soon LOL. And I have to mention Elena’s screwed up brother and his drug addicted girlfriend who is a total bitch. Hopefully she is finally dead. Oh, and the whole witch/psychic thing is getting stupid.

Even though Episode five was annoying it wasn’t a complete waste of time. The show continues to be entertaining and the characters are interesting no matter how dumb they are. The acting was once again solid and the show unfolds at a fast pace. If you haven’t been watching the show and would like to start, you can watch full episodes on CW’s website.
