9 (2009) Review

I wanted to like this film, I really did.  But I just can't fully say it was amazing.  Plot:

9, Elijah Wood, awakes in a world that looks like the real world in The Matrix.  it's run by machines and humans are gone.  He finds a group of things like he is and bands together trying to get them to rally against the machines. 

Let's give credit where credit is due: The visuals are outstanding in this film.  Tim Burton had a hand in this and it shows visually.  This is a movie of hope and survival through will power.  Kids need to watch this to get life values and morals. 

The negative....this is a film about hope.  Sock puppets cannot defeat machines.  I know Elijah Wood thinks he can...but he can't. 

I don't think i would buy this film.  If you're going to see the world for the first time, you aren't going to have enough grasp to take it over.  It's false hope.  This movie was OK.  I'd rather watch Happy Feet.  See for yourself.  Peace.
