The House on Haunted Hill Review
Written by: JaNell Fowler
The story is an old one. Mental patients that get experimented on abused etc. Its been done over and over and over. But not like this. Someone paid freakish attention to detail leaving no drop of blood misplaced and no scary element left out.
This is horror at its finest. The story line, although tis a remake is fresh and engaging. You can not tear your eyes from teh screen no matter how badly you want to especially when you see the nightmarish elements doing that totally freaky quick jerky walk thing that wakes kids up screaming in the middle of the night.
Chris Kattan does an awesome job as reluctant owner of the hospital, and really doesnt get too tongue in cheek like you'd expect him to. You find your sense of morbid curiosity peaked when they stick the guy in that round room with the rotating pictures. I wondered myself, what would that do to me? Edge of your seat thrills chills screams and bad dreams! Excellent movie and definitely one to add to the horror collection.
