Let me just get straight to the point. Paranormal Activity is hands down, one of the scariest and best 'True' horror movies that I have ever seen!

Now for a little backdrop of the movie.

Katie (Katie Featherson) and Micah (Micah Sloat) are a couple who just move in to a San Diego home together, are faced with some "Paranormal Activity" that has been following Katie her whole life.

Micah is the sarcastic and hilariously cliched boyfriend who seems to not be entirely serious about the activity, buys a camera to record their sleepless nights in an attempt to capture whatever that is happening and in a sense put his girlfriend Katie at ease.

Katie, is the typical girlfriend, who is freaked out beyond belief and as the movie progresses, gets pretty tired of her boyfriends attitude towards the supposed hauntings.

Now for me, the relationship between the two main characters was spot on. Well portrayed and well acted. I had walked into the theater with the expectations that this was just another "Found Footage" movie knock off of The Blair Witch (which I enjoyed), but it didn't have that feel at all.

The use of effects in the movie was fantastic! You lose your thoughts almost immediately that this is a movie and you are pulled in to these people lives and feel the fear that they are experiencing.

What makes this movie work, is the use of sounds and I guess you can say old school horror movie cliches that (unfortunately) is never seen in movies these days. Forget the gore, forget the serial killer, and forget the teenage antics that are seen in modern day horror films. This movie will truly keep you on edge of your seat for the entire run-time.

I am giving this movie a 9 out of 10, because I felt the back-story of why these people were being haunted was a little on the dull side. But, luckily the ending totally reeked of awesomeness and was terrifying.

Be prepared to not be able to sleep well after you see this.
