We all know Jason, Jason is an icon of horror and people all around the world of all ages know him. His Name Was Jason is a documentary about the Friday the 13th movies and fans and people from the movies and how they feel about this iconic series. Its interesting to see how all these people talk about the movies and how they grew up watching them and what not, but then again I'm watching a documentary about a horror series I never really cared for. XD

Hosted by Tom Savini and many from the series of the movies, this is definitely a great way to learn about the series as it is. The one thing I really liked about this movie though is that they get into the special effects a lot and how they did some of the things and I like learning about stuff like that.

I'm always a fan of a good documentary and this wasn't bad, Tom Savini hosting was pretty kewl and cheezy in its own way and the whole getting back the old actors in the films I liked to see. Even though I wasn't a fan of the series I am of fan of horror staying alive, and these movies did just that, they kept the people coming the theaters to watch a horror film....and I respect that.

As they take through the series and its ups and downs you also learn about how critics and others bash these movies and how when you tell a kid this movie isn't good for you, then they want to see it more. And oh...is that so true! This also takes you to some horror conventions, shows some die hard fans getting tatoos, and its just a fun thing to watch.

Overall, if your a fan of the Friday the 13th movies franchise this is a must see for you, but if your a laid back, 'its okay but most suck', guy like me then this still wouldn't be bad to check out at least once. Its interesting and you get to see where the people are today. I give His Name Was Jason a 7/10!!!!
