Dawn of the Dead Review

There are zombie movies, and then there's DAWN OF THE DEAD- George A. Romero took us to a whole new level of horror with DAWN, making it the greatest zombie film of all time.

The gore is fantastic, the score is brilliant, the acting is superb, and the atmosphere is so thick, so tense, that it can only be cut with a machette.

And what a brilliant place to have our hero's hide out in, but a mall- even in '78, the mall was where Americans gathered and celebrated being consumers. Besides putting a finger in social commentary and taking a real close look at our culture, Romero spreads dread like a disease through all of us- and gives us an entertaining zombie movie to boot.
