 Quote from the film:

" You'll never get credit for my discovery. Who's going to believe a talking head? Get a job in a sideshow. "

                                                                           -- Herbert West

Dan Cain is a medical student at Miskotonic medical school. To make ends meet he rents a room to fellow student Herbert West, who has just returned from studying abroad. Within days of letting Herbert into the house strange things begin to happen. For example: the cat turns up dead.  Soon, Dan discovers that Herbert has turned his basement into a laboratory, and his dead cat has been used for experiments. Dan is shocked to discover that Herbert has been re-animating the dead.

Re-animator is a funny pic about the living dead. And there is plenty of gore. This is definitely a classic. Special note: Jeffrey Combs deserves an award for his performance as Herbert West, mad scientist.  Followed by two sequels.

Starring: Bruce Abbott, Barbara Crampton, David Gale, Robert Sampson, Jeffrey Combs. Directed by Stuart Gordon.
