Plot: Four young campers head into the deep woods of the Utah mountains for a relaxing weekend. But their fun is spoiled when a machete-wielding maniac embarks on a blood-splattering rampage, hacking and slashing all who enter the woods.

Is it a comedy? Is it a straight up horror film? Well, I’m not sure. But one thing I am sure of is that Don’t Go In the Woods Alone is unlike any other horror movie ever made. The plot is by no means original, but it’s very different than most other back woods slasher movies. It’s very cheesy and funny but at the same time It’s pretty brutal and violent. When it first came out it was out right banned in the UK. Don’t Go in the Woods Alone isn’t even close to being a gore fest but some of the kills are good. We see limbs hacked off, people are cut to death with machetes, decapitations, stabbings and a couple of people are strung up inside sleeping bags and stabbed to death while inside the bag. One thing that surprised me about the movie was the cinematography. It wasn’t bad at all for a low budget slasher movie. Another good thing about Don’t Go in the Woods Alone is the fact that it doesn’t show any T&A. This is a good thing because the girls in the movie are so ugly I wouldn’t be able to bare the sight of their naked bodies.
