House on Haunted Hill Review

Quote from the film: "There will be food and drink, and ghosts. And perhaps even a few murders. You're all invited. "
Frederick Loren and his wife Anabelle throw a party in an old house on a hill. They invite several acquaintences and offer them $15,000 each, if they can stay the night. The catch: the house is haunted. There is no phone, no electricity and they will be locked in after midnight.
This is one of my favorite classic horror films. It's a campy thriller with a few good plot twists. The filmakers don't hold back; they use everything but the kitchen sink to make this one of the spookiest films out there.(Screaming, chains rattling etc.) O.k, so it might not be so scary by todays standards, but it's a lot of fun. And Vincent Price does an excellent job portraying the mad millionaire Frederick Loren. Horror gold.
