Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever Movie Details: DVD, Theatre Date, News, Trailers & More Cabin Fever 2: Spring Fever Review
1 out of 10 Skulls
Written by: trackx

Alright so I must have watched a completely different movie than the others that wrote a review of this movie.  I say that because this movie made Dude Where's My Car look like an Oscar winner.

So let's get into this with a little more detail.  First off the only continuity between Cabin 1 and 2 is Rider Strong and the mentally challenged Deputy.  Anyone who says the virus is also part of the continuity is high or mentally challenged themselves and needs to go back and watch the first again.  The virus felt weak in comparisson with our first encounter with the virus.  In the first it was a slower reacting virus and worked far more effectively than the one in this sequel.

The gore was weak to say the least.  The first had less people than this dreadful sequel and managed to make much better use of a flesh eating virus.  One would think a gym full of high school students, at prom, and infected with a flesh eating virus would be like a perfect storm for gore but you would be wrong.  Vomitting blood and an occasional limb detaching does not constitute a gore fest.  I was at the very least hoping that my biggest problem with the first one would be left out of the second but unfortunately for me deputy special brain was happily brought. BOO!!!!

The acting was terrible, even for unknowns, or relatively unknown.  The humor was a desperate wanna be Superbad funny but was saddly far from it.  Add in the hair lipped teacher and the homosexual principal with the stereotypical right ear piercing just to get people to have a laugh was grabbing at straws.

I would rather watch Jack Frost (Horror Version not Michael Keaton Version) on repeat.  This movie was wretched to be polite.  The greatest thing that could be done with this movie is to package it in sixes and use it as coasters for your beverage of choice while  you watch the original again.

My suggestion skip this turd and go watch John Carpenter's The Thing from 1982 that still 28 years later has better effects and gore than this steaming pile.
