Nursie Review

Nursie is a small terrifying black comedy.  It's no doubt a cult movie.  Dysfunction is rampant in Nursie's home for the aged somewhere in the swamps of Louisiana. 

C. Thomas Howell does a good job as the young doctor who finds himself trapped in the home after a car wreck.  Nursie is a sadistic nurse who throws her elderly patients in the punishment closet or worse when they displease her. 

The one thing that would please Nursie would be to find romance and the doctor is a likely opportunity.  Her brother Raymond is a giant brain fried homicidal maniac who takes his orders from Nursie and has a hard time pleasing her.  I love it when Nursie calls him a "titty baby".

I found this a quirky movie and worth a look.  Great acting.  Don't miss it.
