Murder, cannibalism and satanic riuals are just a few of the 1000+ horrors that await. (From the back of the VHS cover)
House of 1000 Corpses is Rob Zombie's film debut. Mr. Zombie went on to direct a sequel to this film titled "The Devil's Rejects". He also went on to remake the classic John Carpenter film "Halloween", and make a sequal off it, "H2".
House of 1000 Corpses, in my opinion, is one of the best horror films of the 2000's. I think it's a great watch. Plus, this film was like a comeback for such great actors such as Bill Moseley, Sid Haig, and Karen Black. House is also the film debut of Sherri Moon Zombie, who would go on to be in all of Mr. Zombie's films.
The film is very much influenced by the 1974 classic, "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre". I know a lot of horror fans thought that this film was a rip off of TCM, but I have to hugely dissagree. I thought House was great.
The plot was simple but fun, the characters were badass, and it has the re-watchable factor to it.
I give it a 10/10 and a letter grade of an A. Definitely a great watch. Good job Mr. Zombie.

p.s: I think the DVD/VHS cover is badass!
