Thankskilling Movie Review
Written by: Suspiria_89 How is it possible for a turkey to shoot someone? How is it possible for a turkey to cut off the Sheriffs face and wear it as a mask? These and many more questions will never be answered in the unbelievable movie that is Thankskilling. Thankskilling is one of the funniest most over the top movies I have ever seen and I can honestly say that it is the best Turkey slasher out there. And no, it isn’t the only turkey slasher. Blood Freak anyone? Plot: Does it really matter? It’s a film about a killer turkey for god sake. But in case your wondering, in 1621 some Native Americans decide to place a curse on the pilgrims by creating a demon possessed turkey hell bent on killing white people. Skip a few hundred years and we end up in the present day where five ignorant college kids are going camping. Guess what happens next. The kids soon run into the foul mouthed turkey. After failing to kill the kids at their camp site, the turkey then follows them home and begins to slaughter them and everyone around them. Although the plot sounds stupid, Thankskilling is actually a very educational film. I learned from watching Thankskilling that demonic Turkey’s get mad when urinated upon, pilgrim chicks ran around with their boobs hanging our for no apparent reason, Darren has a vagina(the turkey said so)and apparently turkey’s hitchhike and can even drive. Who would have guessed? In all seriousness, Thankskilling might be the dumbest horror movie I’ve seen so far. It makes the classic ‘Jack Frost’ look like a Shakespearian masterpiece. The script is verging on mental retardation. In one scene the turkey says he’s 510 years old yet when you subtract 1621 from 2009 you end up with 388. When I first noticed this I was laughing so hard I had to stop the movie and catch my breath. I am by no means a math professor, but WTF? And the acting isn’t much better. In fact it’s equivalent to the acting you would see in a high school drama class. Now obviously some of the acting was done this way on purpose, but still, it’s bad. I have to admit that in all of it’s stupidity, I loved Thankskilling. It’s highly entertaining and it’s hilarious on many different levels. What makes the movie so enjoyable is the hilarity of the dialogue, the sometimes gory kills and the turkey. The turkey itself looks ridiculous and you can’t help but laugh every time it shows him and he gets quite a bit of screen time; and I must say, he is one busy turkey. When not eating salad in his cozy little teepee, our evil little feathered friend is busy racking up a nice body count. We see throat cuttings, necks are snapped, gun shot to the head, faces carved off, tongues ripped out, hearts pecked out and an awesome stomach bursting scene(Never eat a demonic Turkey!). At one point the turkey even rapes one of the female victims. That was my first time to ever see a turkey rape someone. Another thing I liked about Thankskilling was it’s musical score. It’s very catchy and sounds like it was taken out of a rap song. Oh, and I have to mention that Thankskilling even has it’s own musical number; and let me tell you, it’s impressive. If you are ever in the mood to see a hilarious extremely over the top film, I highly recommend you check out Thankskilling. Obviously it wasn’t made to be taken seriously, so just turn your brain off and enjoy a hour of stupidity like you’ve never seen before.
