The Wildman of the Navidad is one of the few sasquatch movies that is worth watching, possibly my favorite sasquatch movie. The story is based off the real journals Dale S. Rogers who had a bizarre set of encounters with the Wildman on his farm in Sublime Texas. Dale is laid off his job and has no money to provide for himself, his disabled wife and her caretaker Mario.
For the last while Dale has been having encounters with the Wildman on his land, but he needs the money so he decides to open up his land for some locals to hunt on. Dale's encounters become more intense and things begin to go awry in the small town of Sublime. The Wildman of the Navidad is a really neat creature feature with lots of style. It isn't too gory which my be a let down to some horror fans but there are some other things going for it.
It has nice cinematography, a eerie soundtrack and a interesting creature. The acting can be a little stiff at times which is acceptable for a indie film with most of the actors being townsfolk form the are, and for me it added the the unsettling feel of the movie. The pacing has a few issue but doesn't take much away from the movie Overall The Wildman is a cool ultra low-budget throwback that indie horror fans will enjoy. 8.5/10
