Oasis of the Zombies is a 1981 horror film directed by cult filmaker, Jesus Franco and stars Manual Gelin and France Lomay. It should be known that Oasis is actually a French version of a Spanish film titled, "Le tumba de los muetros vivientes."
The film is about a group of people treasure hunting in the desert only to find the treasure is being guarded by nazi zombies.
There was only one scene in the film I actually really enjoyed. Which was where the zombies attacked a husband and his wife before rushing to their car. The zombies actually looked pretty damn cool. I really dug their make up. The eye balls looked pretty unrealistic, but it's all good fun.
However, that is the only scene in Oasis that I enjoyed. The rest of the film is a bore. The acting was crap, characters were not intertaining, the script was dull, and there really wasn't very much zombie action (other then the scene I mentioned before).
Oasis of the Zombies is definitely a film to pass up. Stay away. Really bad. I give it a 3/10 rating and a letter grade of a D.
