Day of the Dead 2: Contagium Review

As a horror/zobmie movie freak, I am embarrassed to say that yes I actully did see this movie. Now to be totally honest I was a bit excited to see this movie as it was called "Day of the Dead 2" I thought to myself I said "self: right on, another Of the Dead movie how bad could it be I mean they are paying hommage to Romero" Boy how wrong was I?
Let me start here the acting sucked. I mean I don't think the Russian spy guy was even Russian at all the accent was awful. The Gore, ok folks yes I am a woman but I love gore and normally I would say the more blood and savage Zombie eating people scenes the better. But this film wow I don't have the words to describe this. There is a point in every Zombie or Horror movie where Gore and blood get to the point where it is so excessive it totally destorys the point of the scene. For example Land of the Dead both the original and remake had lots of gore in almost unbeleavible scenes however it was compelling and aside from being a Zombie movie was almost beleavible. While a movie like "House of the Dead" the video game remake didn't have nearly enough gore. The other extreme is "House of 1000 Corpses" the first Rob Zombie flick went over that thin line between beleavible and excessive. This flim dashed past "House of 1000 Corpses" summer salted, flipped over, landed on it's back, got up and ran another mile past that beleavibility line.
If I were George Romaro I would be sueing the people who makde this movie for defacing the good "Day of the Dead" name. And one other thing What's up with telling the audience how the Zombie plague was started in the first place? There was a reason why Romaro never really touched on the topic. At least the director of the "Dawn of the Dead" had the respect to keep it a secret!!
