7 out of 10 Skulls

I just got back from watching this movie. It was a good movie but I feel compelled to tell you its not a supernatural or horror movie like the trailers make you think it is. I still think some people may consider it "light" horror thus is why i am posting it here. Even though it was not what I expected I still liked the movie although it was slow. I do have to say the first 10 minutes of the movie is truly scary and will freak you out for you get to see a major disaster unfold.

The move is basically about George Lonegan (Matt Damon) a psychic that tries to deny his abilities to speak to the dead and two other people. A 12 year old boy that lost his twin in a bad accident and a french television woman that survived a death experience. This movie is about their struggles to understand what happened to them and how to come to peace with it. At the end all three lives connect and intersect at one point.

Yes this movie was drama and not scary but the death scenes were rather up front and graphic. The major disaster depicted was truly horrific and you connect with the situation of what happened. You really feel a connection with these people. On the down side the movie was slow moving.  I still give it a 7 out of 10.
